Magnetic Resonance Angiography

A special term is applied to the use of magnetic resonance imaging to examine blood vessels: magnetic resonance angiography (MRA). MRI utilizes a strong magnetic field, radio waves, and complex computer processing to produce unparalleled high resolution images of the internal organs and soft tissues of the body. This painless examination takes approximately 30 to 60 minutes to complete depending on the part of the body being imaged.
